11th Hussars storm Business Growth Show!
Along with Profile Builder's Paul Weston I attended the Birmingham Business Growth Show on 9th September.

I decided to attend wearing the uniform of a
19th Century 11th Hussar. A slightly eccentric choice on the surface but there was method in my madness.
Profile Builder is on a mission to bring the ‘person’ into business, as ‘people buy from people’ and why should you leave yourself behind in the morning when leaving for work?
I am passionate about historical re-enactments and enjoy nothing more than galloping into battle, so when Profile Builder exhibited at the Birmingham Business Growth Show I suggested that I attend in full military uniform from the period.

This seemed to work pretty well on every level – it's my personal interest, I certainly seemed to stand out from the crowd and for most of the show the Profile Builder stand was surrounded by interested and intrigued visitors. But more importantly it helped demonstrate our philosophy that business people should promote themselves first, their company second.
The uniform allowed me to demonstrate a recent campaign I have delivered for military charity client Salute for Heroes. I set up a highly successful online social media campaign to promote a charity event via Twitter and Facebook and I also attended in full historic military garb.
